Northern Lakes College - High Prairie Campus
The new Northern Lakes College Campus in High Prairie includes classroom spaces, a medical lab, testing centre, trades lab, and office spaces. The design, landscape and architectural components display the College's vision, mission, design principles and sustainability plans.
The new Northern Lakes College Campus in High Prairie includes 33 individual learning suites, 12 classrooms, a health programs lab with space to accommodate up to 8 beds, and three trades labs for carpentry, mechanics, and welding & metal work. This campus will provide options for students studying at smaller campuses throughout the region, providing easier access to trades and health sciences labs.
The building has been designed to LEED Silver standards. Western Archrib provided all the glulam beams & columns, using both Douglas Fir and Spruce Pine Glulam throughout the campus. The High Prairie Campus also features Westdek paneling for the Net Zero Ready building.
