Timber Finisher
The Position
Western Archrib is looking for a dynamic individual for the position of aTimber Finisher.
This position will be based at our Sturgeon County facility near Fort Saskatchewan and will report directly to the Production Manager.

About the position
Working atWestern Archrib, the successful candidate for this full-time position will have a high standard of work ethic, attention to detail, motivated to work at a high level of quality, and ability to work well within a team environment. Valuable assets to this position will include experience in wood working, measuring, cutting, and operate various types of power tools. We will provide job specific training onsite.
Duties:
- Operate a variety of woodworking power tools
- Troubleshoot quality control defects in wood beams and repair as required
- Maintain quality control, safety standards and safe work practices
- Application of laminated wood sealer and other finishing chemicals
- Use of overhead cranes on single and multiple crane lifts
- Wrapping and unwrapping beams for shipments and rework as required

Work Schedule:
- Standard work schedule will be Mon-Fri 6:00am-2:00pm
Compensation:
- Wage will start at $21 to $23 hr based on level of experience

- Motivated with excellent time management & problem-solving abilities
- Team player with strong interpersonal, verbal & written communication skills
- Attention to detail, strong organizational and planning skills
- Ability to multitask in and organized manor
- Candidates must be physically fit and able to lift to a maximum of 50lbs.
- Candidates must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to work 40 hours a week.
