Western Archrib is seeking a motivated and reliable Forklift/Yard Hand to join our team at our new Sturgeon County facility. About the position

This role is critical to maintaining an efficient and organized yard, handling daily tasks independently and with attention to detail. The individual will be responsible for loading and unloading deliveries, assisting with shipping and receiving, and keeping the yard well-organized. The ideal candidate is a proactive individual who takes pride in their work, can manage tasks with minimal supervision, and is committed to safety and efficiency. Experience working with long loads in a lumber mill or lumber yard will be considered an asset to this position.

Duties will include but not limited to:

  • Forklift operations and outdoor yard responsibilities
  • Loading trailers with manufactured wood beams and stock materials of various shapes and sizes using counterbalance forklift
  • Loading/offloading lumber stacks of various sizes to production areas
  • Managing inventory of yard material
  • Yard management of all wood beams and hardware and ability to coordinate loads and yard shipments as scheduled with the Shipper/Receiver
  • Offloading totes and pallets of hazardous materials
  • Coordinate with Shipper/Receiver and other plant personnel in receiving and delivery client orders

Work Schedules

  • Standard work schedule is Mon-Fri 7:30am - 4pm
  • Flexibility to work on weekends may be required based on shipping requirements  

 

Compensation  

  • Hourly rate starts at $26hr
