Overview:

Western Archrib is currently looking to fill a CNC Machine Operator at our Edmonton facility. Our high-volume wood manufacturing plant manufactures a full range of custom glue-laminated structural wood beams. The right candidate for this position must have experience in CNC machine set up, programming, read and interpret blueprints, coding, and operate different CNC machine tool attachments. We will provide job specific training onsite.

Duties will include:

  • Interpreting blueprints on a variety of Glulam wood manufactured beams
  • Operating and setting up CNC machine tool attachments to perform repetitive machine operations
  • Entering coding into machine programs to specify speed, feed rates, and cut of the tool path for numerically controlled machine tools
  • Cleaning and maintainance ofequipment
  • Maintaining quality control, safety standards and safe work practices
  • Keeping records and maintaining equipment inventory and supplies

Additional information:

Work Schedules:

  • Standard work schedule will be Mon-Fri 6 am-2 pm.
  • Hours subject to change, overtime may be required.

Wages:

  • Wage starts at $22 per hour.
