CNC-K2 Operator
Western Archrib is currently looking to fill the position of CNC Operator for our K2 at our Sturgeon County facility.
This position will report directly to the Production and Team Manager.
Working at Western Archrib, the ideal candidate for this role must have experience in CNC machine set up, programming, interpreting shop drawings, coding, and operate different CNC machine tool attachments. We will provide job specific training onsite.
Duties:
- Read and interpret shop drawings on a variety of Glulam wood manufactured beams
- Operate and set up CNC machine tool attachments to perform repetitive machine operations
- Program and edit the machine to specify speed, feed rates, and cut of the tool path for numerically controlled machine tools
- Clean and maintain equipment
- Maintain safety standards and safe work practices
- Keep records of production data and maintenance as well as maintain equipment inventory and supplies
- Inspect finished product for accuracy and quality ensuring compliance with specifications.

- Standard work schedule will be Mon-Fri 7am-3pm
Compensation:
- Wage starts at $23.00 depending on experience

Requirements:
- Candidates must be physically fit and able to lift to a maximum of 50lbs consistently.
- Candidates must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to work 40 hours a week.
- Able to adapt to fast paced industrial environment with a shifting schedule.
- Standard CSA approved Steel toed boots are required, we will provide safety glasses, work gloves, hardhat, and reflective vests.
- WHMIS 2015 certification, Overhead crane certification, first aid training are all assets to this position but not a requirement.
- Experience in operating CNC equipment for wood industry preferred.
- Must be able to perform basic maintenance tasks that require working safely underneath the machine.
